LULI LOU
This is a creative space I've dedicated to share my love for all things ink and paper.

The Luli Lou blog is named after my late maternal grandparents, Luli and Lourdes.

I'm Joey, the girl behind it.

I post on Tuesdays and occasionally on Fridays since 10/01/2021 ♥︎

March Bullet Journal Layout | 2023 Bujo

Philippines

It's smelling summertime, everybody!

Hello and welcome back to me, friends! ♡

No, this is not a drill; I intentionally skipped February entirely. However, you can eye spy how it potentially looked from my January bujo layout. But as the wise, wise men of the old say, "Out with the old, and in with the new." (Yup, in those exact words. 😂).

For this month, I went with plants and greenery, and I just realized that my March 2022 bullet journal layout is also plant-themed. Coincidence? I think not! 😂

To be completely honest, this whole look is not exactly how I planned my March layout to be; however, recently my emotions are on a high, so I thought adding a splash of color would help brighten up the month ahead. But I guess my feelings got the best of me, and so the "splash of color" turned out to be an entire background for each spread.

Little by little though, this unintentional layout made its way to my favorites folder. I would say that in its special little way, making this layout definitely helped me mentally and emotionally. Gentle projects like this really do quiet the mind and make you feel more at peace. :')

Let's begin. ♥︎

cover page

For the cover page, I decided to add a calendar on the regular doodle + month name combo we usually do. I don't know about you, but I always feel a slight self-imposed pressure to fill in a cover page in its entirety each time, except when the page is intended to be minimalist. I especially had the same quiet pressure on this layout since the month name March is one of the shorter ones on the list. That was when I knew I would need help from a date chart.

calendar view

I shrank my calendar view for this month because I already have a general calendar and future log in the preliminary pages of my 2023 bullet journal. If you check out my other bullet journal layouts, you'll see I usually switch from full spread to one page for calendar views. What are the premises for when I do which, no one knows. I just decide from the get-go. :)

dashboard

I realized that keeping a dashboard helps keep me in-check with my overall year goals and long-term vision but in smaller, shorter, more doable degrees. The layout is simple: I drew a planter banner on the page header and filled in the dashboard on categories of Word of the Month, More Of, Less Of, Goals, and Mantra.

By the way, structure is what I found was my whole concept for March based on Numerology. For the first time in a long time, I did actual math. I watched this video from Lavendaire to learn more about it.

weeklies + trackers

I'm now back to merging my weekly spread with my trackers (sleep hours + habit trackers). I used my most loved layout and pencilled a calendar, a sleep tracker, a planter doodle, this week's goals, habit tracker, and each week's Bible verse.

budget tracker + content planner

I decided to pull these two together in one page to close my March layout.

My budget tracker is in its essence simply a checklist of where my money goes when it comes (like pay days, extra earnings, gifts, etc.). This is the reason why I have the luxury of keeping it compact. However, I do have a budget journal for my daily budget tracking

My content planner is also trimmed specifically for March only. I have an expanded content planner on the back of my bujo, so that's also why I have the freedom to keep this like so. Since I took a creative rest in February, I intend to hit the ground running on the Luli Lou.

As a little bonus, here's my little snake plant doodle on the Art Month doodle board by the Western Visayas National Museum in Iloilo:

That is the end of the tour. As always, I hope that you enjoyed running through the pages.

How about you⏤have you set up yours yet? ✦
