What I love about new years is that they have the power to take me back to the yesteryears when we'll go to National Bookstore to shop for new supplies for the new school year. Only as an adult, I refresh my lineup of journals. Let's run through them one by one.
But before we proceed, let's answer this question I get a lot: Why do I have so many journals for one year?
The short answer is, because I just love stationeries and buying notebooks is my guilty pleasure. 🙈
The long version is, I like to honor each function, and I do it by separating them into their own places/journals. For example, I like to separate my bullet journal from my daily journal because when I journal, I would prefer not to be reminded of tasks that are waiting for me in the next few days, which I can find in my bullet journal. So it's really just an organizational thing, nothing more.

1. MY BULLET JOURNAL
Weapon of choice: Leuchtturm1917 Medium A5 Dotted Softcover in Earth Brown
I got the Leuchtturm1917 planner for the sheer curiosity of how it is and why it's popular. Admittedly, Ashley from bestdressed sold me into it during her bullet journaling video, even though she didn't really liked the notebook, haha! But let's get real⏤Leuchtturm1917 is a popular brand for years, so I also want to understand what's up.

2. MY DAILY JOURNAL
Weapon of choice: Moleskine Expanded Dotted Journal in Black
This is my most expensive journal to date (save for the expired Moleskine planners I got on sale), but I never regretted buying this journal. I first heard about the expanded version from Ashley from bestdressed in her journaling tips video (again! Okay, I was such a fan, not sorry), and true to its claims it really has a lot of pages and a lot of space on each page. This is really useful for me since there are times when I can finish pages on pages of paper over topics I'm really invested in. I love how smooth the pages are, and how compact it feels despite having more sheets than usual.

3. MY BUDGET TRACKER
Weapon of choice: Moleskine 2019 pocket planner, repurposed (Black)
I got this mainly because it was discounted at National Bookstore, only PHP 20 a pop. It was a fun way to introduce myself to Moleskine, and well, it was a good introduction nonetheless. I will be using it to track my finances on a day-to-day basis, since my bullet journal only tracks the ebb and flow, and this would make me even more aware.

4. MY EVERYDAY CARRY JOURNAL
Weapon of choice: Papernotes Mini Dotted A6 (Black)
I like writing each and every idea, thought, plan, and goals, so a small and portable notebook is perfect for me to bring along any-freaking-where. If you've known my blog for a while, this journal might already be familiar to you because I reviewed this two years ago. I also had this personalized; I had what I believe is the Spanish/Filipino version of my real name and had it printed in Baybayin.

5. MY JUNK JOURNAL
Weapon of choice: Lenwa 365 Journal (Blue)
I did junk journaling here and there with my old journals, but I never really took it seriously with a dedicated notebook. This time, I have the Lenwa 365 for the sole purpose of junk journaling, and I named this little project as the #LuliLou365, where I try to junk journal for a whole year (or as long as I finish up the pages).

I know that this lineup may be too much or too overwhelming for some people, but I love stationery and I love sorting stuff separately. The important thing is that each one has a designated purpose, and each one will be utilized with love and intention for the whole year, or until they're fully used.
We are now in the entrance door of 2023, and I cannot wait for the year to reveal all that it has in store for us. May we all have a redeeming year and one with core memories made. 💫
