I would be lying if I say I bring this everyday to work, but this is my pen case. 

The reason I don't bring this every day is because my current bullet journal has a pen holder, so all I have to do is slip in my favorite pen and go. But when I feel the need to just bring all the trusty bits, this is the bag I instantly reach out for.

 THE PEN CASE 

My pen case is a black clam-shaped kit I got from Shopee one late night of impulsive buying.  The thing that made me want to buy it was the red interior; it reminded me of bags from YSL and Mansur Gavriel that I cannot afford. 😂 So it's a happy, I-don't-regret-it purchase nonetheless.  

FAST FACTS ABOUT MY PEN CASE 

1. It's water-resistant. The main material used in this bag is nylon fabric, which is great for clumsy people like me, ha.
2. It has a black plastic zipper and synthetic leather zipper pull tabs to match. It's very understated, very laid-back. But if I'm going to be honest, I think a gold zipper and pull would be so much prettier. 
3. The main room is spacious (but the lining on the bag ends (the ones that keep items from falling when zipping the bag open) are rather shallow so there's a limit on how much I can put in it).
4. It has pockets on each side side⏤three small ones on one side and a single garterized on one the other⏤allowing me to maximize the space this case allows. 
5. Because of how the bottom is designed like a rectangle, it can open and sit upright. So it's easier for me to switch materials when I'm working on something that requires it. 

Lastly, this was actually designed to be used as a makeup bag. I bought it for the purpose of putting my beauty products inside when I travel.

Decisions changed with the seasons, and now it's a pen case I really enjoy. :) 

 WHAT'S INSIDE: THE PENS 

1. ZEBRA MILDLINER IN COOL GRAY AND BEIGE

In a word: overused.

I honest-to-goodness love these Midliners, and I'm so happy that Zebra Pens decided to release them this year. I had these for months now, and I've been using them non-stop. I used them to color my entire August bujo setup and they're also starring in my September bullet journal (check post next week!).

Disclaimer: Right now I'm in my Copper–Cool Gray era because of my current bujo layout, but just know that my favorites from this set is the cool gray and beige. 😉

2. UNI SHALAKU S 05 MECHANICAL PENCIL 

I like mechanical pencils. I like them because I'm lazy to sharpen the traditional wooden pencils we were all forced to use in elementary. (But hey, Mongol #2 is the OG, not gunna lie.)

I have a couple of mechanical pencils, but this is the one I find myself reaching out for the most: my Uni Shalaku S. I really enjoy this one and its unique side click thingymajigy to adjust the lead, making it so much easier (though you may struggle a bit during adjustment, but you'll appreciate it in time I promise).

3. ZEBRA SARASA GEL CLIP PEN 0.3 (BLACK)

I swear this is my ride-or-die pen. I used it for two straight years until I got hooked on bestdressed during the pandemic and decided to try out the Pilot G2 0.38 (her favorite pen). I used the G2 pen for roughy a year and a half (an estimate of two ink cartridges). After which I went back to my first love and kept using this pen until now. Oh the feeling of reuniting with your first love (chos, not applicable in my real life 😂).

4. SAKURA PIGMA MICRON 03 (BLACK) 

Of course, for note headers that pop in your notes in an instant, I rely on the Sakura Pigma Micron to do the work. They're honestly my favorite permanent inks, and I'm certain I'm never going to stop repurchasing. In fact, the one in my pen case right now is my fourth 0.3 purchase. 

Bap recommends the Uni Pin Fineliner because it's what he exclusively used as a fine arts student, but me and my Pigma Micron just mesh so well together. 🥹

5. UNI PIN FINE LINE 0.4

Well, look at it⏤it's a lovely drawing pen. I'm a fan of the black-and-white pen body; I think aesthetic wise, these are prettier than the Sakura Pigma Micron ones. I use this when I need thicker lines for doodles and such. It produces vibrant, smooth lines and definitely smear-proof. 

Though I have a Sakura Pigma Micron in 04 as well, I do like to keep this one in my stash because, well, okay, Bap recommended it. ☺️

6. UNI-BALL ONE 0.38  GEL PEN (BLACK BODY) +

Okay, here's a secret: I only keep this in my pen case because I find it very pretty. 🙈

Have I used it? Well, I've religiously reminded myself to use it more now since my Zebra Sarasa is almost out of ink and my refill stash has ran out. Do I like it? I'm still trying to place how I feel about it. Will I give it to someone else? Of course not. 

So there, it's really just an eye candy for now. But we're not losing hope for our Uni-Ball One just yet. I'm ready for it to take my breath away.

7. PILOT ACROBALL BALLPEN 0.3 

I'm more of a gel pen girl because I want my black pens to be black, but if I have to go for a ballpoint pen, this would be my pen of choice. I like my Pilot Acroball for when I need immaculately crisp lines in small spaces and I like how smooth it writes on paper.

WHAT'S INSIDE: THE REST (1)  

Part 1 of the rest of my pen case are the bits I keep it one side of the pen pockets. This would be the side with the little compartments. 

I wanted to show you each and every item in my pen case, but it seemed like the photos were too "empty" and the captions were rather short, so I decided to put both elements together. Have fun scrolling!

IMPORTANT: By the way, I do have to mention that I have an eraser to add to these. I wasn't able to include it in the photos because I placed it on my peg board instead of putting it back in my pen case after working on my bullet journal. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Just to complete all information, I'm using the Tombow Mono Eraser in black. Now scroll. :) 

 WHAT'S INSIDE: THE REST (2) 

This would now be the side with the single garterized pocket. Ideally, it would've been somewhere I'd keep memorabilia like ticket stubs, wallet-size photos, little love notes, etc., but all I have in it are these cute memo pads from Bombpepper, and I'm not hating it. Though I just gave the Dinosaur Game memo pad to Trish because she is a big dino fan, so maybe now I can fill this pocket with tons of other stuff or the things I mentioned earlier.
