August is upon us, and so is my bullet journal layout for this month. Thank you for the applause, ladies and jellybeans.
For this month, fate landed on rounds and florals as my theme. This was initially inspired by Temi Manning of livingletterplans, but I did do my own thing on the other pages except the cover page.
With a really good theme in mind originally, that theme permitted me a purchase of two Tombow brush pens, which I ended up not using. Instead, I got the chance to do a personal test run of the newest set from Zebra Mildliner⏤the Neutral Set (review coming soon!), so I took it as a sign that this month would be full of pleasing surprises.
Let's begin. ♥︎
COVER PAGE
Twelve rounds makes up my cover page for August. I wasn't sure how to place the month name, so instead, I just created a sans serif lowercased a.
When I finished the floral rounds, the page still felt like it was missing something, so I added leaves and hearts on spaces to make the page look rather richer.
MONTH'S DETAILS
This is the first time I'm doing this type of page. I just saw this idea from Pinterest, and I thought, Hey, that's pretty cool. So I did it. 😊
On the calendar codes, you will notice round labels. These are from the stationery package gifted to me by Trishupaper (a feature on it soon!)⏤Thanks, Trish! ♡
HIGHLIGHTS
I did this one in February and remembered how much fun I had filling up every space meant for each wallet-size photo. Now I thought I'd do it again and see just how fun August can be. Exciting! 🌸
MONTHLY CALENDAR
I'm back with my expanded calendars! After revisiting a one-page calendar last month, I've decided, nah, a calendar spread works better for me. I'm excited to fill this up since August seems to be quite a busy month.
Okay, I will fill this up with motivational words I swear. But on to the idea of why I placed four boards for my quote page is that I want to place a quote for a specific feeling, something I can go back to for different situations.
For example, "For when you feel like you're never good enough" or "For when things don't go your way⏤ something like that.
DASHBOARD
I'm honestly not very confident⏤or at least contented⏤with my color palette this month, what with the last two layouts being super vibrant and vivid. So to save me a piece for myself, I intended to keep my dashboard black-and-white until further notice.
WEEKLY SPREADS
A recurring theme in this month's pages are revisiting older layouts I really liked. So with my weekly spreads, I borrowed a layout I had in January and then again in May. I did make some changes too just so it's not that much of a copy. Peek the spreads!

BRAIN DUMP
This is for the rest of us scatterbrains. I think that this will be helpful in keeping in check with all the ideas, memos, plans, and notes for the month⏤instead of just placing everything at the very end of the bullet journal disorganized.
And that is it. That's all for the tour. Thanks so much for coming; please feel free to swing by at anytime. ❁
