LULI LOU
This is a creative space I've dedicated to share my love for all things ink and paper.

The Luli Lou blog is named after my late maternal grandparents, Luli and Lourdes.

I'm Joey, the girl behind it.

I post on Tuesdays and occasionally on Fridays since 10/01/2021 ♥︎

June Bullet Journal Setup | 2022 Bujo

Philippines

Hey June, don't let me down.
You have found her, now go and get her.
Remember to let her into your heart,
Then you can start to make it better.

~

The first half of the year is finally coming to a close, and I'm all here for it! My theme for this month's setup is Bauhaus, since I've recently been into the design lately. And the color palette? Pri-freaking-mary colors⏤red, yellow, and blue, with a little bit of grays here and there for fun.

Just like last month, I also didn't use any rulers on the entire setup, and I also maintained a single fine liner all throughout (the trusty little Sakura Pigma Micron 03).

🔴 Lastly, just to let you in on something: my phone's working kinda wonky lately, so you might see the photos in a weird focused-unfocused situation. Don't worry, I'll have that problem sorted soon.

Anyway, let's get to the layout tour. ♥︎

WELCOME PAGE

This really is just a page that sets up the whole mood, as I've filled it entirely with little 5 ✕ 5 Bauhaus boxes. I used a mechanical pencil to draft out the design before lining it over with, and a reel of my progress is posted on my IG reel (my very first one!)

COVER PAGE

The cover page consists of three elements: the month in large print, the bauhaus boxes, and the calendar.

A very common theme on the four featured boxes on this page, if I may add, is the fact that they're all divided in fours. I made this executive decision so it has a little distinction from the varied boxes on the other page.

EXPANDED CALENDAR

This has got to be one of my favorite spreads this year. I filled the stretch with squares and kept some for the actual calendar and then the rest left were filled in according to this month's theme.

This is also the official debut of my first white pen, the Sakura Gelly Roll in white. Not sure how I feel about it yet exactly, and that talk is for another time.

HABIT TRACKER

I'm not the biggest fan of this tracker just yet, and I'm assuming it's because it's still is in its rather bare state. I plan to track by encircling the dates I've done whichever habit with yellow marker.

WEEKLIES COVER PAGE

My weeklies cover page is only a slight variation from the right leaf on my cover spread. While that had June in big, bold print, this one has a little life reminder.

WEEKLY SPREADS

I have to say, this group of weeklies took a fresh turn from my usual takes. Instead of a general piece of design that matches the theme, I've decided to leave on Bauhaus box for each day and placed the other elements at the end of each spread (which is the bottom right of the right-side page).

Because of the camera situation, I took the liberty of placing the quotes on every week's page. I really like this lot I've picked thought I'd share it.

✧ week one ✧

The stars nodded,
The ocean agreed,
The flowers chorused,
"Bloom now⏤
bloom free."
⏤rise again.
[Tess Guinery]

✧ week two ✧

 Under the weight
of things unknown
and unseen,
she knows
He would lead her
right where
she needs to be.
[morgan harper nichols]

✧ week three ✧

like wildflowers
you must allow
yourself for grow
in all the places
people thought
you never would.
[minna so]

✧ week four ✧

be so full that even if
they take & take
& take & take

you can still be
overflowing
[alison malee]

✧ week five ✧

this one has no quotes since week 5 just has enough days to take up a whole page :)
but for the record if it ever had one, it would've been this:

there is a
past version of
you that is
so proud
of how far
you have come.

CURRENT FAVORITES

This one follows the layout from the Current Favorites page last month, only the boxes in this one are still to mimic the Bauhaus design.

That's the end of the tour. Thanks very much for stopping by; come again soon.
